Henrik Laurberg Pedersen

I have a position as professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Copenhagen. I am a member of the section Geometric Analysis and Mathematical Physics.

Research

My research in pure mathematics falls within complex analysis, approximation theory, special functions and orthogonal polynomials. I focus on application of complex methods in other fields.

From time to time I cooperate with other disciplines on applied projects involving mathematical modelling.

Teaching - Ordinary courses
I am currently involved in teaching the mathematics courses "Matematik og databehandling", "Matematik og modeller", "Matematik og optimering" and "Analysis 0".

Teaching - PhD-course Advanced Mathematics for Biology
This course brings PhD students in life or related sciences to an advanced level in mathematics. It gives a basis for carrying out mathematical modelling and for collaborating with engineers and experts from the mathematical sciences. Topics include advanced calculus, differential equations and modelling principles. Mathematical software is introduced. The curriculum is adjusted to fit the individual student. Part of the course is devoted to a project related to the students main PhD project. For further information please contact me.
